The City of Orinda is seeking applications from resident volunteers to serve on the City’s:
- Planning Commission (2 positions)
- Parks & Recreation Commission (3 positions)
- (New) Supplemental Sales Tax Oversight Commission (7-10 positions)
- Finance Advisory Committee (3 positions)
- Historical Landmarks Committee (1 position)
- Traffic Safety Advisory Committee (3 positions)
The City of Orinda is also seeking applications from resident volunteers to serve as the City’s Liaison to the following local agencies:
- Contra Costa Mosquito and Vector Control District Trustee (1 position)
- County Connection Citizens Advisory Committee (1 position)
- Contra Costa County Advisory Council on Aging (1 position)
Effective February 2021, there will be term expirations on the Commissions and Committees listed above as well as position openings for a NEW Supplemental Sales Tax Oversight Commission which was recently formed to oversee, and make recommendations to the City Council, on the newly approved Measure R funding. This new Commission will also review priority needs of the City addressing the threat of wildfire; disaster response planning; repair of critical drainage facilities; and the long term maintenance of public roads.
