The Orinda Police Department offers a Neighborhood Watch Program, which is designed to provide on-going education and safety tips to our community. The department's Community Police Officers are assigned geographically and are available to assist you in organizing meetings with your neighbors and business groups throughout the year.
Neighborhoods in your community share in the responsibility and connection between the police and the community. Through crime prevention and problem-solving strategies, we can make Orinda a safer community.
The focus of these meetings is to share information of recent criminal activities in and around the City of Orinda. Topics include the following:
Home Safety Tips
Identifying Suspicious Activity in Your Area
Safety of Your Children
Initiating a Neighborhood Watch
It is our goal to form a partnership with the residents and business groups to stop criminal activity in our community. Please feel free to contact the police department if you would like to start a Neighborhood Watch Group in your area.
