Planning Department
The Planning Department provides professional and personalized service relative to the overall physical development of Orinda, consistent with the General Plan & Housing Element, adopted policies and guidelines. The Department is also responsible for managing all land use entitlements in accordance with the Subdivision Map Act, California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), and State Planning and Zoning laws.

APPLICATION SUBMITTAL |
Applications shall be submitted online through the Application Submittal Portal here. Submittals by email are not accepted. A limited number of in-person building permit plan checks are available by appointment only. Schedule an in-person plan check by clicking the "book now" button above. Application Status - Submittals will be processed in the order they are received. In-person plan checks will be processed during your scheduled appointment.
