New Online Registration System Introduced
The Orinda Department of Parks and Recreation has partnered with CivicRec to implement its parks and recreation management software solution. Available from CivicPlus, the integrated technology platform for local government also utilized by the City of Orinda, the CivicRec cloud-based recreation management solution will allow citizens greater visibility into offered parks and recreation department activities, classes, sports, and youth leagues, and more convenient online registration and payment. It will also allow citizens to search for availability of community facilities, such as fields, picnic areas, event space, and meeting rooms all conveniently online.
The CivicRec solution is designed to be intuitive to navigate and easy for citizens to use. It is mobile-friendly, allowing citizens to search for community activities and events, register, and remit payment even from a smartphone or tablet.
Patrons will be required to create a new household account, regardless if they have a current account in our old software system. This will need to be completed before individuals can register for upcoming programs.
Some of the new features include a mobile responsive design that functions well with smartphones and tablets for easy catalog viewing and online registration. Users will have the ability to see previous transactions and view an event calendar with all classes and programs the patron has registered for. Also, users will have access to account statements, setting up contact preferences, and view waiting list status.
