Seniors Around Town
This program provides free, door to door non-emergency transportation for Orinda senior residents to medical appointments and errands around town by Orinda resident volunteers using the volunteer's own vehicle. County Connection LINK
County Connection LINK paratransit service is an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) paratransit service. The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) requires all public transit operators to provide special service to persons whose disabilities prevent them from using fully accessible public transit. The special service, called “ADA paratransit service,” operates at similar times and in similar areas as existing non-commute (off-peak), fixed-route transit. This is available for bus service. Lamorinda Spirit Van
Serving Lamorinda Seniors with and without disabilities since June 2006. This program provides rides to older Lamorinda residents (age 60 and up) for errands, shopping, medical and personal appointments and to the C.C. Cafe at the Walnut Creek Senior Center for lunch Tuesday through Friday. AARP Driver Safety Program
This program is a recognized course designed specifically for the older driver. It takes into consideration the physical changes of the maturing driver and identifies ways to compensate for those changes. You may be eligible for a discount on your auto insurance rate after completion of the course. Check with your insurance agent for specific details regarding your particular situation.
